Ik ben goed bezig ;-) het voelt zó lekker om dingen te maken!
(en af te maken...)
Een goed gevulde marktkraam is een goede marktkraam!...

I'm doing very good ;-)  it feels so good making stuff!
(and finish it...)
A good filled marketstand is a good marketstand!...

 ...heel veel harten om hangers te maken...
lots of hearts to make garlands...

 ...nog wat meer armbanden en kettingen ...
a few more bracelets and necklaces...

 ...nieuwe stoffen kransen...
new fabric wreaths...

...en ik maakte ook nog vier vlaggetjesslingers voor het grote

schoolfeest

 aanstaande donderdag met als thema 'eten uit andere landen'.

Een feest zonder versiering is geen feest dus maakte ik vlaggetjes

in de kleuren van de gekozen landen; Duitsland, China, Turkije

en Zuid-Limburg.

(ja, volgens sommigen een land...)

...and i also made four flag bunting garlands for the big

schoolparty

next Thursday with the theme 'food from other countries'.

It's no party without decoration so i made flags in the colours of

the choosen countries; Germany, China, Turkey and

Zuid-Limburg

(the last one is not really a country but some people think it is...)

Dit maakte mij blij afgelopen week...
This made me happy last week...

...een kop zwarte koffie drinken op momenten dat ik het erg nodig heb...
...drinking a mug of black coffee on those moments i need it so badly...

...cupcakes maken op zondagmorgen 8.00 uur, gewoon omdat ik er zin in heb...
...making cupcakes at 8 o'clock sundaymorning because i feel like it...

...met chocolade...
...with chocolate...

...en hazelnoten...

...alle fijne ideëen en stoffen waar ik mee aan de slag kan nu ik iets meer tijd krijg voor
mezelf, omdat de Meisjes alle drie naar school gaan en ik zie dat het goed is...

myself, because the Girls are going to school and i see that's okay...

Suitcase treasures #4...

Raad es wat ik heb gevonden in die gekke oude koffer?
Het Herfstgevoel.
En niet zo'n beetje ook.
Mijn hoofd zit vol met herfstachtige ideëen.
Veel ideëen.
Ik krijg bijna zin in herfst, is dat niet erg!?
Ik krijg zin in de kleuren, het stoere, het romantische en de mooie
materialen die bij herfst horen...

Guess what i found in that silly old suitcase?
The Autumn feeling.
And not just a little bit too.
My head is full of autumnal  ideas.
A lot of ideas.
I'm almost looking forward for some fall to come, isn't that terrible?
I'm looking forward to the colours, the tough and romantic feeling
and the materials that belong to autumn...

Deze prachtige vintage bloemen en vlinders geven inspiratie...
These beautiful vintage flowers and butterflies give some inspiration...

...net als dit oude kant en vintage koperen knopen.
Voor mij horen rendieren bij de herfst en winter.
...just like this old lace and the vintage copper buttons.
For me deers belong to autumn and winter.


Omdat ik toch al aan het overdrijven ben, heb ik deze zomerse
stofjes in een theebadje gedaan, om ze zo'n heerlijk oud laagje te geven...
And since i'm overreacting it all, i put these summer fabrics in a
bath of tea to give them that nice old look...

En ik heb zin om weer tassen te gaan maken.
Na een tassenpauze van twee jaar heb ik weer volop inspiratie en ideëen.
And i really feel to make bags again.
After a bagbreak of two years i have a lot of inspiration and ideas.

Eerst nog de spulletjes voor de markt afmaken, dat gaat voor.
Ik denk dat het voorlopig mijn laatste markt is, want een groot
nadeel is toch dat ik veel moet afmaken voor een bepaalde datum,
terwijl ik zoveel andere dingen wil maken...aaaaargghh!

First i have to finish stuff for the market, that's my priority.
I think this is the last time i do a market, because a big
disadvantage is that i have to finish a lot for a particular date
in a short time, while i want to make other things...aaaaargghh!

Kom op, ik moet aan de slag!
De najaarsmarkt van 4 september komt héél dichtbij.
Maar ik presteer goed onder druk dus het komt wel goed.

Ik heb een beetje moeite met het krijgen van een najaarsgevoel.
Het weer doet zijn best, maar ik voel nog geen herfst.
Bij het bestellen van nieuwe stoffen moest ik erg mijn best doen,
maar ik ben er toch in geslaagd.
Het wordt in ieder geval een beetje romantische herfst.
De mooie bloemen en roosjes kon ik echt niet weerstaan.
Ik bestelde de mooie stoffen hier!

Come on, i have to start doing things!
The autumn market at September 4 is getting really close now.
Well, i perform well under pressure so it's gonna be allright.

I do have a bit of trouble finding the autumn feeling.
The weather is doing his job, but i don't feel any fall yet.
When i was ordering fabrics i had to do my very best, but
i think i did a good job.
It's gonna be a bit of a romantic autumn.
I couldn't resist the beautiful flowers and roses.
I ordered these nice fabrics here!

Wat het ook altijd goed doet op markten zijn deze armbanden.
De productie loopt en vele mooie kleurencombinaties komen van
mijn hand.
Gemaakt van spiraaldraad en gevuld met glazen kraaltjes,
zoetwaterpareltjes en halfedelsteentjes.

What is always doing well on the market are these bracelets.
Production has started and i already made various beautiful
colour combinations.
They are made with metal spiralwire and filled with glassbeads,
freshwaterpearls and natural stones.

En nog een mooi product, deze lange kettingen.
Gemaakt op waxkoord en op allerlei manieren te dragen.
Inmiddels lopen er al wat hippe moeders bij het schoolplein
rond met mijn kettingen, maar er is altijd vraag naar meer 
;-)
Dus ook deze zijn 'in productie'...

And another nice product, these long necklaces.
Made of cotton waxcord and wearable in various ways.
There are a few hip moms walking around by the schoolyard
with my necklaces but there's always some demand for more 
;-)
So these are 'in production' too...

hier zit ik dan...here i am...

...hé-le-maal alleen met een bakkie koffie in een leeg huis.
Zojuist heb ik alle drie de Meisjes naar school gebracht.

Een Meisje van bijna zes begint in groep twee.
Een Meisje van net vier begint in groep één, dit zijn haar
eerste dagen op de basischool.
Een meisje van net twee heb ik naar de peuterspeelzaal gebracht
voor de eerste keer.

Ik heb tijdens de schoolvakantie regelmatig aan dit moment gedacht.
Zou ik rust hebben, juichend naar huis lopen en meteen van alles
gaan doen?
Of zou ik mij een beetje ontregeld voelen, uit mijn ritme en niet
weten waar ik moet beginnen deze ochtend?

Het laatste.
Ik laat het deze week ook maar gewoon over mij heenkomen.
Ik zie wel hoe het loopt en als ik mijn ritme weer terug heb,
ga ik weer aan de slag.
Eerst maar even mijn koffie drinken...

I just brought three little Girls to school.

One almost six year old Girl is starting in group two.
One just four year old Girl is starting in group one, these are her
first days at elementary school.
And i brought my little two year old Girl to preschool for the first time.

I have thought about this moment a few times during the schoolholiday.
Would i feel relaxed, cheerful to have a moment alone and start
doing all kind of things?
Or would i feel restless, out of my routine and not knowing where
to begin this morning?

The last.
I think i will see what's coming en just let it flow, let it go.
And if i find my daily rythm back again in this i will get busy again.
First, i'm gonna drink my coffee...
